What makes a DSLR so great? Is it the high megapixel images that it can produce? Or does it have something to do with the lens? I'm wondering because if I can, I want to be able to take good pictures too. For a beginner like me, would buying a DSLR be a good move? Or should I just try first to practice with my point-and-shoot camera?
I heard that even if you're just starting to learn photography, having a DSLR can help give you professional-quality photos. Is this true (for those of you with little experience in photography who owns a DSLR camera)?
