Year-end sales everywhere!

Posted by austenfan at 12/26/2013 06:04:00 PM 0 comments
Yes, stores on sale! Not really everywhere, though, but I think most of the shops are having sales from today till the new year. :) If you missed out on buying presents this Christmas season, then you can still do so! You don't even have to buy gifts for anyone else, it could just be your gift to yourself, for a year's hard work. You know you want to, anyway, so why not do it while the items are on sale? :)

I'm not sure if online shops are on sale too, but you can check if they have affordable martin guitar strings at Musicians Friend. Buying online can be quite helpful as it saves you the hassle of going to the mall and braving the sale-seeking crowds. :)

Vacation blues

These no work days should be full of easy, breezy, happy thoughts, but at times, I find myself reflecting on my past actions and future plans. Although I recently received an advise to just 'enjoy the present', I can't help but think of certain things... future plans and the things that need to be done to see the fulfillment of said plans.

Is this normal? Sometimes, I think I'm too old for my age. I tend to worry about things frequently. Yes, I'm a big worrier. Yes, I know it's bad. It's hard to stop doing it, though. The best way to cope with it is to make plans... make plans and push through with them.

Afterwards, hopefully, comes the stress-free, merrymaking days! Happy holidays, everyone!

Shopping for a guitar?

Posted by austenfan at 12/06/2013 12:57:00 AM 0 comments
Who's excited for the Christmas season? It's the Christmas month already! And when you hear that, it's unavoidable to think about gift giving. Yes, it's not the main point of Christmas, but it has become such a tradition to give gifts that we can't help but associate it with this holiday.

If you're looking for something to give to someone who loves guitars, why not try giving that person an Avid guitar? I heard it's of good quality so whoever receives it will definitely be happy with it (as long as that person plays guitar!).

When you're past that sleepiness stage

Posted by austenfan at 12/06/2013 12:44:00 AM 0 comments
Have you ever experienced that? That feeling when it's really late at night and you're so sleepy, but can't sleep yet. Then, when the time comes that you can already sleep, you find that you can't even if you want to. Well, not really can't, but it takes a long time before you start feeling sleepy again.

I think it's pretty normal to feel that way. What do you do, though, when that time comes? Listen to mellow music to make you feel sleepy again? Read books? What else?

Brand choice

Posted by austenfan at 11/28/2013 10:57:00 PM 0 comments
How do you select a brand from the hundred (okay, that's an exaggeration, more like tens) of competing brand names out there? I could think of some things that may matter to most of us:

1. Quality - Of course, who would want something that will easily break? As much as possible, we want our product to be heavy duty even if it may cost a little more than the others. That depends on your intended use for it, though.

2. Cost - How much are you willing to pay for it? Practicality is important. Think if its cost outweighs its purpose or not.

3. Brand Reputation - When it's recommended by family and friends, we tend to be partial to these brands. After all, that's better than having no clue whatsoever about what you want to purchase.

Maroon 5, Come back to Manila, please!

Posted by austenfan at 11/27/2013 11:31:00 PM 0 comments
All these watching of Youtube uploaded videos of The Voice is turning on my Adam Levine fangirl mode. I miss hearing Maroon 5! I hope they release a new album soon. And please, come back to Manila! If the concert prices aren't too high, I'll try my best to watch it! :)

Maroon 5 fangirl forever!

Summer Reads

Posted by austenfan at 11/27/2013 10:45:00 PM 0 comments
Yes, it's too early to think about good summer reads, but there's not really any rule that says you can only read them during the summer, right?

What is it about these summer reads? They almost always seem to be set in the beach wherein one of the protagonists is a surfer (probably someone who hangs out near surfboard storage racks at the store). I'm not saying I don't like reading stories like these, but it would be nice if authors can have more fresh ideas on the possible setting and characters. If you have any suggestions, tell me, please. :)

Team Adam!

If you're watching The Voice, then you probably know why I like Team Adam so much. Of course, aside from the fact that I love Adam Levine ever since the first time I saw their music video 'This Love', the contestants, I can say, are the best among the bunch! Well, maybe not, but they are the best for me!

What was I thinking not watching the past four seasons of this show, anyway? Haha.

Daily playlist

Posted by austenfan at 11/06/2013 09:25:00 PM 0 comments
I don't have a playlist on my mp3 player. It's not because I don't want to listen to the same songs everyday, because I actually do that. I just have this weird idea that I would tire of my favorite songs more easily if I group them all in a single playlist. Yes, I know it's weird, but it makes sense to me.

Are you a music enthusiast too? Do you love it so much that look for the akg c519 price at musicians friend regularly? I'm not that big of a fan myself, but I do know some people who could possibly love music so much that they'd spend most of their free time looking up music equipment online!

Determined.

Posted by austenfan at 10/15/2013 11:39:00 AM 0 comments
It feels like this past months, all I've been doing is thinking, thinking, and thinking. I can't seem to go beyond that when it comes to making plans. It's not a bad thing, mind you. All plans should be carefully and thoroughly thought of, as you probably well know.

But now, it's time to put those thoughts into action. I need to do something about all these things that I constantly think about. It's time to get out of my comfort zone. I can't just let all those slip away and not do anything about it. :)

Stay healthy!

Posted by austenfan at 9/18/2013 10:23:00 PM 0 comments
The rainy season is upon us again. Let's all make sure that we stay healthy and free from cold s and cough frequently brought about by this kind of weather. Make sure you keep these in mind:

1. You NEED Vitamin C. Take supplements, eat fruits, or drink lots of fruit juices rich in vitamin C! It's your choice, just make sure that you get it. :)

2. Keep your surroundings clean!

3. If someone you know has caught a cold, then try to wear a face mask. Maybe you can even wear an air mask. Would that be too much?

4. Get enough rest! Don't overwork yourself. Take some time out to just relax for a while.

Robin Thicke temporary obsession

Posted by austenfan at 9/18/2013 10:01:00 PM 0 comments
I'm not really familiar with the current trends in the music industry. I've only just heard of Robin Thicke, thanks to his controversial VMA Awards performance with Miley Cyrus. Now that I've heard Blurred Lines, though, I can't stop listening to it. I don't know why. I don't even really understand what the song is about. It has such a catchy beat that I don't mind listening to it over and over again!

How about you? Have you ever liked a song (that you don't really get) as much? Haha.

One of a kind music

Posted by austenfan at 8/27/2013 10:58:00 PM 0 comments
How can you be unique? Does being unique mean you don't look like anyone? You don't dress the way other people do? You don't do what others would commonly do? How about when it comes to music, how can you be considered unique? Do you need to buy banjos for sale at guitar center and learn how to play a banjo? Is that enough?

Why do we want to be considered unique, anyway? Does being unique mean being great? For me, it takes more than being different to be great. Sure, it can be one of the contributing factors, but it isn't enough.

Anyway, I'm getting out of topic here. What would you consider as one of a kind music?

Goodreads!

Anybody else here on Goodreads? If you're a book lover, then this site is a must! If you've got a favorite book, you can find recommendations here by other users which are similar to it. Or if you want to look for it yourself, you can just browse through the book synopsis available here. I think every book that's ever been published is featured in this site. Yes, I did tell you. It's super helpful for all book lovers!

Cluttered desktop

Posted by austenfan at 8/27/2013 09:27:00 PM 0 comments
My computer desktop has been really cluttered lately. Yes, at times I do get some burst of inspiration to organize my files, but most of the time, especially when I'm busy, I just save my files wherever is most convenient for me. I probably need to clean my pc soon. By that, I mean right now. Haha.

How about you? How are your file organization skills? I really need to develop mine soon. That is, I need to make sure my files are always organized even when I'm busy and in a hurry.

HEAs

Posted by austenfan at 8/27/2013 09:23:00 PM 0 comments
I'm a sucker for happy ever afters. Whether it be books or movies, I'd rather pick up something that's sure to make me warm and happy while reading or watching it. I read books and watch movies to have fun, so naturally, that's what I expect to get.

I can still read or watch books and movies with more serious themes, though. It depends on my mood. If I'm up for it, then yes, I'll read it. As for stories with HEAs, those are sure to satisfy my reading craving anytime! :)

Books about bands

Posted by austenfan at 7/29/2013 06:54:00 PM 0 comments
Has anyone else noticed this? A lot of the books being published today has band members as the main characters of the story? Uh, how did this start? I have nothing against it, I'm just really curious on who started this trend. Haha. Actually, most of the stories I read revolving around band members are pretty good, so no complaints here. Authors could write about heroes who bought ibanez bass guitars at musicians friend and I wouldn't mind one bit, as long as they write interesting stories.

How about you? Any idea on how this band member thing on books got started?

Eat, eat, eat.

Posted by austenfan at 7/29/2013 06:34:00 PM 0 comments
Lately, I can't seem to control my appetite. No matter how much I tell myself that I should be on a diet, I always end up having too much rice - too much for someone who's trying to lose weight, that is. It's hard to resist eating when I feel really drained after a long day at work. After work hours, I just want to relax and relieve some of the stress. Yes, that's where the eating part comes.

I really have to do something about this. Must get back to that weight loss plan!

Shiny, pretty things

Posted by austenfan at 7/29/2013 06:18:00 PM 0 comments
Yes, I'm not the type to wear a lot of accessories to make myself look pretty. That doesn't an that when I see shiny, pretty things like a sterling silver necklace, I would just ignore it and not even pause for a while to admire its beauty. I'm a sucker for those kinds of girly things too! :)

I think every girl secretly wants to given pretty things as gifts, as much as the tomboy types would likely disagree. I don't think we can help it - to be attracted to shiny and pretty jewelry. It's kinda like your first instinct, when presented with these things, that you'd go 'ooh-ing' and 'aah-ing' over them.

So, if you're to be given something like them as gifts, then enjoy it! And don't bother denying your glee!

Never too late

Posted by austenfan at 7/29/2013 05:48:00 PM 0 comments
It's never too late to start something new. Although more than half of the year has passed, I don't think it's too late to set new goals for yourself. What are you gonna do, anyway? Put it off until next year? Just remember that whatever new and inspiring ideas you have now, you better act on it fast, to reap its rewards earlier on. Of course, this doesn't necessarily apply to everything.

Think about it. I'm sure you'll know what to do. :)

Feeling comfortable?

Posted by austenfan at 7/28/2013 07:48:00 PM 0 comments
What do you need when you go to sleep? Do you need a lot of pillows around you? Maybe you can't sleep without your favorite stuffed toy by your side? For me, my needs are pretty simple. I just need some body pillows for me to be able to sleep comfortably. It doesn't matter what color they come with or how they're shaped, as long as the pillows are soft, then that's fine with me. Also, I'd need a pretty solid and comfortable mattress to sleep in. I think that trying to save money when it comes to choosing which mattress to use is a big no-no. After all, you'd be using it every night. It's better to get something durable yet comfortable!

Weekends, don't you go just yet.

Posted by austenfan at 7/28/2013 07:40:00 PM 0 comments
I LOVE weekends. Who doesn't? Those two days wherein you can just forget about your work and all the deadlines that you need to meet... can't they just make it a bit longer, like add another day to it? Yes, I know. That's just wishful thinking on my part. I'm pretty sure that won't sit well with most, if not all, of the employers here. Haha.

Weekends just can't seem to come fast enough, which I can't say for the going part.

Anyway, hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

How to bike?

Posted by austenfan at 7/21/2013 10:38:00 AM 0 comments
Have you ever tried biking? Well, I haven't. And I'm not sure if I ever will get the chance to learn how to bike. I mean, can people still learn how to bike at my age? Isn't it something that you should have learned while you were young, sort of like ballet?

Anyway, let's say that I can still learn how to bike... what do I need to start? Should I buy some plus size biking shorts, so it won't be a fit tight? Of course, I need to buy a bike! Hope it doesn't cost too much or else I won't even want to learn how to bike. Haha.

Too little or too much

There's something wrong with my sleeping habits. Lately, I can't seem to just sleep for the right amount of time. It's either I sleep for only 6 hours or I go overboard and sleep for about 10 hours! And when I wake up, I don't really feel refreshed at all after 10 hours of sleep!

I guess I better sleep earlier than midnight to get that 8 hours of much needed sleep. Haha. Anyway, good morning, everyone!

Shopping?

Posted by austenfan at 6/29/2013 08:51:00 PM 0 comments
I'm currently on the lookout for sales! I need to buy new clothes, so if you've heard of any ongoing sales, then please do inform me! :)

Are you planning for clothes as well? What are you interested on buying? Some Deuter Child Carriers, perhaps? As for me, I need (semi) formal clothes and shoes. I'm hoping I won't have to spend too much on them; thus, the hunt for stores on sale. Haha.

In the meantime, I'll go search for those sales!

Do something

Posted by austenfan at 6/29/2013 08:26:00 PM 0 comments
I think I'm at the point in my life when I want to do something. Well, a lot of things, actually. Things I haven't done before. Things that I really want to do, if given a chance. I'm starting to realize that I can't keep waiting for that chance to come. I need to do something to get that chance and when I do, I can't let myself back out.

Here's to making plans and planning on how to make them push through!

Mechanical stuff

Posted by austenfan at 6/05/2013 10:46:00 PM 0 comments
I don't know much about these things. I'm not even sure when you're going to need aluminum machine handles, but if you are in need of those, then you can take a look at that site. I think the site also contains a lot of mechanical tools of the similar kind.

Just don't ask me about the difference between those tools, though. You're not gonna get any useful information from me. As I said, I'm no expert when it comes to mechanical-related kind of things.

Summer fun

Posted by austenfan at 6/05/2013 10:43:00 PM 0 comments
Is summer already over for you guys? As for me, it isn't. I still haven't had a chance to go to the beach! And when it's summertime, that's definitely a must. Haha.

What other activities have you done this summer? I didn't do anything special - no out-of-town getaways or new adventures for me. Sometimes, I think I'm just too lazy to do something special and have fun. It's bad, I know.

Concerts supplies

Posted by austenfan at 5/20/2013 11:58:00 PM 0 comments
It's been a long time since I last saw a concert. I think that was around 2 years ago, during Maroon 5's tour here.

I don't know a lot about organizing concerts, but I can imagine that it must be pretty tiresome. There's a lot of things to consider - including taking care of the musical equipment that needs to be purchased. You don't need to look hard for those, though, since there are a lot of gibraltar hardware at Guitar Center. You can just take your pick!

Seriously, though, it would be learning how to organize and plan a concert. Plus, you get to meet the band members for free!

Coffee for the super sleepy

Posted by austenfan at 5/20/2013 11:52:00 PM 0 comments
Does coffee still work for you as a wake-me-up drink? For me, it stopped working long ago. I think I've drank too much caffeine during my college days that I've become immune to it. Haha.

It still depends, though, on the caffeine concentration. Maybe if I get a triple espresso shot, I'll manage to stay awake longer (maybe even longer than I intended) to finish whatever tasks need to be finished.

If you have any other wake-me-up drinks you'd like to recommend, then please tell me by leaving a comment!

Guitar lessons?

Posted by austenfan at 5/20/2013 11:45:00 PM 0 comments
I know quite a lot of people who can play the guitar. You'd think that if my friends know how to play guitar, I'd get interested in playing it too, right? That's not the case, though. I'm not sure why, but I've never been patient when it comes to learning how to play a musical instrument.

I've tried learning how to play the piano before, but gave up on it after some time. If you really want to learn how to play the guitar, though, I think it would be better to take guitar lessons. Before that, better buy a guitar or look for ways on how to save on classical guitars. It's better to have your own rather than to borrow it from someone else.

Practice hard!

Missing writing

Posted by austenfan at 5/20/2013 11:35:00 PM 0 comments
I miss writing. Creative writing, to be exact. It's one of the classes in college that I truly enjoyed. Never mind that I don't usually get high marks from my instructor. The feeling that I've put a lot of thought and invested emotion in my outputs - well, that's more than enough for me to feel proud of what I've done.

Then again, blogging is a form of creative writing. Maybe I just need to start writing more of the creative kind. :)

Planning for winter?

Posted by austenfan at 5/05/2013 11:07:00 PM 0 comments
Winter has already passed, but you can always plan ahead for the next time it comes. That way, you don't need to panic that you don't have any Ski Clothing yet if you plan on going skiing. I've tried buying clothes less than a week before going skiing and let me tell you that it's not easy task.

Also, I think ski wear are probably on sale during this time of the year since it's off season. I'm just not sure which stores are selling them, though.

When's the diet gonna start?

Posted by austenfan at 5/05/2013 11:02:00 PM 0 comments
I've been asking myself this question for some time now. Actually, no. I've been putting off asking it because I just can't seem to resist having dinner with friends every night!

It has to stop, though. I need to lose all these extra fats! Haha

Designing your home

Posted by austenfan at 4/22/2013 05:27:00 AM 0 comments
I want to be able to design my own home. I think that's how every girl feels. Although I don't know the first thing about interior design, I just feel like I can do it if it's for my own house. I hope I can. Haha.

Anyway, I would want my home to have beautiful and relaxing design and pieces like this fountain wall from soothingwalls.com. Wouldn't it look good in a house? I'm not sure about the price, though. It looks a little pricey, but if it's for your dream house, I think it would be worth it. :)

New hairstyle?

Posted by austenfan at 4/22/2013 05:22:00 AM 0 comments
It's summer! I need to find a new hairstyle to go along with my face shape. It has to be shorter, as in no longer than shoulder-length. I'm sure I don't have to explain the reason why. Haha.

Anyway, do you have any suggestions for a possible new hairstyle?

Accessories

Posted by austenfan at 4/14/2013 07:19:00 PM 0 comments
I can't help but notice that the number of online shops specializing in selling accessories have increased drastically over the past years. I guess it should come as no surprise; people love to accessorize, after all.

If you manage to visit one of these online shops, you can find all types of designs for necklaces or bracelets. You can find a sideways cross necklace, a heart-shaped pendant, or maybe even a star-shaped one. It just depends on what you want to wear!

So if you're searching for a particular type of accessory, then worry no more. You'll be sure to find it! If not, you can have it customized!

Craving for fruit shakes!

Posted by austenfan at 4/14/2013 07:04:00 PM 0 comments
Melon. Watermelon. Buko. Mango. And the list goes on.

Gimme some fruit shakes! They'll for be a big help for fighting this intense summer heat! :))

How about you? How do you cope with the summer heat? (It's going to be 35 deg C tomorrow!)

Anyway, don't forget to drink lots of water this summer season!

Summer activities

Posted by austenfan at 4/14/2013 11:55:00 AM 0 comments
So, have you thought of what types of activities you'd like to pursue this summer? I haven't yet but I know of several new hobbies that sound interesting. Let's list them up!

1. Learn more about stocks!
   - I know. I'm not sure if this really qualifies as a hobby, but this will come in pretty handy if I ever decide to try my hand with the stock exchange. It's very practical to learn it.

2. Learn how to bake!
   - I've been meaning to do this for quite some time, but I've never had the time or the resources to actually push through with it.

3. Try a totally different kind of sport!
   - Maybe I could try learning how to play tennis? Or maybe I could learn how to ride a horse and be like the equestrian I see on TV? Yeah, that sounds too unrealistic, but well, still worth a try. Haha.

4. Get back on with my weight loss plan!
   - I don't think I need to explain this. :)

Apps Land

Posted by austenfan at 4/14/2013 11:35:00 AM 0 comments
There's something about the summer heat that makes me want to just stay in front of my laptop all day. Yes, stay in front of my laptop doing all the things that I could do with it - watch shows/movies, read books, play music, and yes, play apps all day!

I'm getting addicted (again) to playing apps lately. That's probably because I just stay at the house usually. Don't blame me, it's just too hot outside!

Anyway, I need to get back to Candy Crush and check if I've received new tickets! Haha.

Sing much?

Posted by austenfan at 3/31/2013 12:02:00 AM 0 comments
Are you one of those who really loves singing? What do you do about it? When I mean really love, that means you record some of your songs and have copies of CDs? I haven't tried doing that (probably because I don't sing very well), but it must be nice to see a recording studio, complete with a mf ableton push controller. It must feel like you're in a music video.

Anyway, I don't know why I'm talking about this. It's not like I'm planning on being a recording artist. Haha.

Legendary!

Posted by austenfan at 3/30/2013 11:40:00 PM 0 comments
I'm on the seventh season of How I Met Your Mother and I can't wait until I've caught up to the latest episode! At the same time, I don't really want to finish watching all the episodes because that'll mean the series will end soon. And it's too awesome to just end like that. And I've only started watching it this year!

Yes, it definitely is the funniest series I've watched. Truly legendary!

On a diet?

Posted by austenfan at 3/07/2013 09:00:00 PM 0 comments
The biggest problem of those who are trying to lose weight is how to keep themselves from overeating. You shouldn't go and starve yourself, just make sure that you don't eat beyond what you're supposed to. To do that, you would probably need a right size portion plate to make sure you get just the right amount of food.

What do you think? Would that work? Anyway, tell me if it works! I need to try it too! Happy weight loss planning!

Home Sick

Posted by austenfan at 3/07/2013 08:49:00 PM 0 comments
I wonder if it's the same for everybody else, but for me, I feel home sick during first and last weeks of my being away from home. Is it the same for you guys too? And I tell you, it really isn't a good kind of feeling. It's like you always feel restless and you just can't stay still and think that everything's fine and well. It's a lot like how I'm feeling right now.

I really need to stop feeling this way. Gotta find a way to cheer myself up.

Setting up your own business?

Posted by austenfan at 2/28/2013 08:58:00 PM 0 comments
Someday, like I'm sure many of you out there also feel, I want to have my own business - preferably something that I'm really passionate about. That's the best way for a business to succeed - to have the one running it to have a strong interest in it.

Anyway, how do you go about starting your own business? And when it's up and running, how do you make sure that people know about it? Should you hire some brochure printing companies to make some flyers for your business? Is online advertising better? I guess it's better to ask marketing specialists about these. :)

Nervous?

Posted by austenfan at 2/28/2013 08:50:00 PM 0 comments
What do you do when you get nervous during times when you really should be anything but nervous? Haha. I have no idea. Does anybody have any idea on what to do about this nervousness problem? If there really is such a way to stop nervousness, then that would be a big help to a lot of people, especially to those who have to do presentations/reports! :)

Then again, maybe eating chocolates can be of help! :)

If you want to be sporty...

Posted by austenfan at 2/17/2013 06:17:00 PM 0 comments
If you want to be sporty, then you'll need the appropriate sports attire for it! I'm not at expert at  these kinds of things. By that, I mean I don't know a lot about fashion and sports. However, I saw a site that sells some pretty cute looking clothes that would look perfect for your running/hiking adventure (or whatever other sport you may have a need for it)!

If you want to take a look at it, then see for yourself some pictures of the clothes from marmot here. They look pretty cute, right? I think you can find something there that will complement you yet will still serve its purpose and make you comfortable!

Make that lemon tea, to be exact. Haha. Lately, I've been addicted to drinking lemon tea, so much that I don't think I've lasted a day without drinking it for the past months. I know, there's something weird about that. Haha.

For someone who's on a diet (me!), I should probably stick to drinking water in the meantime. That means less calories for me! Now, what do I have to do get some self control? :)

Too much food... and music

Posted by austenfan at 1/26/2013 04:35:00 PM 0 comments
I think I'm eating too much these days. How will I ever get on with my plan to lose weight by the time summer comes around if all I see inside my room are chocolates and other types of sweets! This has got to stop! Haha.

Another thing that I'm getting addicted to is music. When I wake up, I need to start my music player. If possible, I need to hear some Rovner ligatures being played. Is that even normal?

Yeah, food and music. Great combination, I tell you.

For all the other Kuroko no Basket fans out there:

Have you heard that the series will be having a second season? Definitely good news! I can't wait to see what happens to our basketball geniuses! :)

More of Kuroko and Kise, please!

Fave playlists

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Kelly Clarkson songs. It's weird because I've never really been a fan of hers. Sure, I know most of her songs (who wouldn't?) but I don't like them enough to the point that I have to hear them most of the time.

I wonder what brought this about. Now, I think I want to listen to her songs at maximum volume using a roland cube 80xl. I especially like her song 'Dark Side'. Don't ask why, it's kind of personal and related to a certain someone. Haha.

Too little time

There are times when you have so much free time that you think that you're going to die of boredom. Then there are those times that you just have so many things that you need to do that you easily forget other things that are just as important. Well, that's how I feel these past few days. I guess it's my fault for not managing my time properly. I should really try to do better next time.

Like cigars?

Posted by austenfan at 1/17/2013 09:34:00 PM 0 comments
Are you a fan of cigars? By the term fan, I mean, do you really like cigars? Do you like cigars so much that you would join cigar auctions online for them? I don't know the feeling of being a cigar fan since I've never tried one before, but I know the feeling of being a fan so I think I understand how liking something so much can make you do things that you would think are impossible for you to do. Haha. So if you love cigars that much, then you should definitely check out that site!

Getting addicted to coffee

I've never been addicted to coffee. Sure, I like drinking it from time to time, but not to the point that I have to have it everyday. These days, though, I find myself drinking it everyday. Maybe even at least twice a day. Is that bad? Or is it still healthy?

How about you? What's your favorite coffee flavor? As for me, as long as it's sweet and not too strong, I'll drink it! :)

Online Services

Posted by austenfan at 1/13/2013 09:51:00 AM 0 comments
There are so many services available online today. I'm just surprised how convenient it now is to get things that you want without even having to go outside your home. You can buy clothes, shoes, books, and many other things and just have it delivered on your doorstep. Sometimes, they even do it free of charge! That's a pretty good bargain, right? Aside from those, there are other services available online too. For example, you can find a company printing envelopes online as well. See how convenient online shopping is nowadays? I've had books sent to me before through online services, but always by someone else. I've never had the chance to actually order something for myself, but maybe I'll give it a try.

Need to diet!

Posted by austenfan at 1/12/2013 09:56:00 PM 0 comments
Being on a diet is probably one of the most frequent topics I post about on this blog. For some reason, I never got around to continuing on with it. It's like I would start being on a diet for a few days (or maybe even a week) and then decide that I don't want to go on with it anymore.

There are just too many things getting in my way - yes, that means chocolates and other types of sweets. Waaaah, must resist them all!

Some things...

Posted by austenfan at 1/12/2013 09:52:00 PM 0 comments
There are some things that I know well about and then there are those things that I probably have zero knowledge on. For example, I have no idea how the game rugby is played. I've never seen the game played before and don't know anything about the rules involved in it. Another thing I don't know anything about is the things men do when it comes to fixing the house. I don't know what a t slot is. I don't know how to properly hammer a nail onto the wall. I guess it's better to just leave those kind of stuff with the guys. Haha.

I think that's just natural. Nobody expects us to know everything, right?

Grocery shopping!

Posted by austenfan at 1/12/2013 05:03:00 PM 0 comments
In a little while, I'll be going out to do some grocery shopping. It's weird how some of the things I buy end up getting expired sitting in my refrigerator while the others I get to consume right away. Haha. I probably should think twice (or thrice) before giving in to temptation and buying what looks appetizing.

That should be my goal for this little grocery shopping trip of mine later - to avoid buying food that I really don't need (or won't eat). :)

Things for the home

If you're looking for something to buy for your house, then how about dressing up your entertainment room a bit? You could buy a new flat screen TV that will surely make your watching experience even better! While you're at it, buy some home flat mounts for it too!

Of course, you can buy furniture too! Maybe get a new couch or carpet? It depends on what you think will make your place more enjoyable and comfortable to stay in. You don't have to splurge to get that much needed change in your place! As long as you like how it's gonna turn out, then that's okay. :)

Gloomy...

It's times like these when you just want to curl up in bed all day and not have to think about anything serious. You just want to feel relaxed and free from all stress-inducing thoughts. Yes, I know that's not possible, but it doesn't stop the feeling of wanting to block out all the negative thoughts.

How do you cope during times like these? What do you do to cheer yourself up and stop making yourself even more down? Listen to music? Eat a lot? Get busy?
