Tomorrow is the first day of another month, making me realize that I haven't done any studying (except for the occasional browsing of my Chemistry book) for a whole month. If I don't pay much attention, November will be here and I'd still not be prepared for the exam - which is a big no-no. So, from now on, I'll be preparing hard for the board exam. I need to be as focused as someone who continually reads a lipofuze review for her weight loss plan. And I'll be starting with step one - getting acquainted with Perry and his handbook. :)

By game, I mean study for the upcoming Chemical Engineering board exam. I started going to review classes three weeks ago, but up to now, I still haven't been taking it seriously. Sure, I always take down notes and listen to what the instructor has to say during the class, but I haven't done any self-studying yet. Self-studying is, of course, the most effective way to learn (based from experience).

It has been so long since I last wrote an entry on my book blog. I feel guilty that I haven't been able to post new book reviews. It's just that I had so many things to do this past few weeks that I have no time to write a new, decent review. So to those who read my book blog, sorry. I'll try to write a new entry soon, hopefully. :)
Now, let me tell you about the last book I read... and loved. It's The Unwritten Rule by Elizabeth Scott. The book's about a girl who has this beautiful and popular girl, who probably never needed to read acneticin reviews in her life, for a best friend. The problem is, she's in love with her best friend's boyfriend. Intriguing, right? Well, guess what? It's even better! I'm not one to spoil plots, so I suggest you just go ahead and grab a copy of it. Afterwards, tell me if you loved it or not (though I hope you do)!

Since I gave my Nano to my mother (I know, I'm a sweet daughter. Haha.), I haven't been able to keep updated on the latest songs that have come out since then. That's why I really want to buy a new iPod, preferably an iPod touch. See how cool it looks:
As usual, the photo isn't mine and was taken from somewhere 'round the www.
So, this got me thinking... when you love music, do you automatically have to be musically inclined? I mean, do music lovers also want to learn or know how to play some musical instruments? Because I don't. I tried playing the piano before, but that didn't really work out for me. My instructor kept scolding me for not having practiced enough so I got irritated and decided to stop taking piano lessons. Excuse me, but I was very, very young back then so I wasn't able to handle the criticism all that well. :) Anyway, even though I don't play any instruments now, it doesn't mean that I don't think it would be nice to. I think learning how to play drums or maybe even a clarinet would be really cool. Wonder when I'll be able to try those out? What about you? Do you know how to play any musical instrument?

By the way, have I already blogged about the fact that I finally got my Paypal account verified? Yep, I did. And you know what that means... it means I can now withdraw and spend all that virtual money on anything that I want (provided that my Paypal money is enough to pay for it).
Now, maybe you can help me think of ways on how to spend it. Or maybe I should just save it and keep it at the bank, huh? Anyway, if I do decide to spend it, I'm not sure if I should buy something for our house, like some all clad copper core cookware, or buy an iPod touch or a new phone (I have my eyes on the Samsung Corby Pro). But if I go with the gadgets, I'm not so sure how much I'm going to have to spend. Hmm.
I know that the best thing to do would be to know my priorities, but sometimes, I just want to splurge and buy myself something nice! So, what do you think? Or better yet, what's the one thing you'd really like to buy for yourself?

I know you know that I'm a big fan of the Twilight series. I love the books. And though they could've been better, I like the movies too. Though I guess this may have to do with the fact that I love Robert Pattinson - with that messy, long hair, with a clean, cute haircut, and yes, wearing tuxedo shirts during fancy awards nights. Okay, enough of that. Anyway, great fan girl that I am, I haven't even watched the trailer of Eclipse! (Or if I have, I've forgotten all about it.) And it'll be having its premier here in the Philippines on June 5! Imagine, that's how busy I am these days. *Sigh*
Don't get the wrong idea, though. I'm still a Twilighter (and will always be), though I may not be able to regularly watch out for some news about the upcoming films and books. But of course, I'm not going to miss the movie. Can't, musn't, and will not. :)

I will be taking the board exam this coming November so naturally, I'm a bit apprehensive and kind of worrying about it. I mean, there are soooo many things that I need to study again. I've seem to have forgotten most of what I learned for the past five years. That's short term memory for you. :)
One of the things that I think I need to focus on is studying Algebra 1. I don't mean to sound conceited or anything, but back in high school, I think I did pretty good in getting those Algebra 1 Answers that I didn't have much need for some Algebra 1 Help. By the way, if you're struggling with Algebra 2, there's this site (tutornext.com) that can give you some Algebra 2 help to aid you in getting those Algebra 2 Answers. And they do it while charging cheaper fees than the other online tutoring services out there. As for me, I'm gonna have to double my efforts in studying and hope that I can master those mathematical concepts for the exam.

Stress, why are you always there for me? Cause you know, it's okay if you sometimes want to take a break or whatever. I don't need you all the time. Go on now. :) Yeah, right. As if it's possible. Once again, I find myself wanting to take a break from all these stress-inducing things and just take a vacation somewhere beautiful and fun.
Now, I'm not gonna bore you by talking about the things that have been stressing me lately. Instead, let's talk about that vacation I really, really want. Myrtle Beach looks like a fun and beautiful place to stay in. Plus, I saw (from the internet) that there's a really nice Myrtle Beach hotel there. If you want to see for yourself, try visiting http://www.princeresortonline.com. Plus, I know I can have a good time there a lot of accommodations available. It looks really good that it makes me want to try a hand at playing golf there and enjoy their golf packages. Hey, I could learn, right? :)
Try searching for it on the net, and afterwards, tell me if you want to start looking for a Myrtle Beach Resort to stay in as well. :) But, of course, before I can do all that, I need to earn and save some money. Hmm, wonder how long it'll take before I can save enough to go on that trip?

I lost about 10 pounds ever since I started trying to lose weight early this year. But lately, with the way I've been munching on cookies and sweets, I'm not so sure I can keep losing weight, or even maintain my current weight. In less than a week, I already gained half a pound! And that is just unacceptable. I need to stop piling on lots of rice during meals and start swapping white bread with the wheat variety.
Though, of course, I could also try working out. I mean, I've never seriously tried to do it before. But, well, I might. :) I don't really know much about the types of workout that people do, but I'm sure I can gather something from the internet. I even found a site that features workout practices that look interesting enough. If and when I start working out, I might give the P90X Workout, Slim in 6, and 10 Minute Trainer a try. I'm hoping I can manage to do them even if I'm not very physically fit. I'm not really fond of doing physically exhausting activities, but if I really want to lose weight, I might have to give them a try. :)

Of course, I've traveled to different places before. I've just never gone to a far enough place which will require airline tickets. I know, I know, but what can I do? We don't have enough to splurge on traveling across the world (or even across the country). But like any other sane person in the world, of course, I do want to travel in the near future. I can feel the excitement and joy it brings just from reading other people's tales on traveling. And yes, it makes me excited too! I'll definitely be trying my very best to save up and look for some cheap flights to take. :)
Seeing how uninformed I am about traveling, can you recommend some really, really great places to visit? I don't have any plans of going now, but who knows? I might decide (and suddenly have enough cash) to travel soon. Lonely Planet has so much amazing pictures and suggestions on which places to visit, but I want to hear your thoughts too! Have you traveled before? Where? And most importantly, was it superduperfantastic? :)

I realized that I've changed so much in the past year - in terms of preferences, style, views in life and yes, even the way I look. :) To prove my point, here are a couple of things you might (or might not) be interested to know:
A year ago, I was...
- almost 7 pounds heavier. Thanks to the countless weight loss stories and motivational diet articles I've read, I'm slowly but surely getting there (to my desired weight).
- not a user of moisturizer. As in, I've never tried it back then. Now, I'm happy that I managed to get acquainted with it as it does lots for my skin! :)
- a new blogger. Yes, I was still a newbie at blogging and was always obsessed about my blog's daily hits, always visiting sitemeter and Google analytics to check if anyone has visited this blog.
- a college student who considered 10 PM as too early to go to sleep.
That was a year ago. And I did say that I've changed, right? Well then, I'm off to sleep! Haha. :)

I love my hair, but I would love it even more if it isn't so dry, wavy, and kinda frizzy. You could say it's my fault - I don't take care of it as much as I should. I don't regularly use a conditioner. I don't have a hot oil treatment every month or so. And I don't do a hundred (or is it a thousand) brush strokes everyday. Who could blame me? It seems like whenever I do manage to use a conditioner, I take forever in the bathroom, which is, of course, a major no-no.
So, if you also have this type of hair, I'd appreciate it if you could suggest some hair product that you've used and which have done wonders for your hair. If it could prevent female pattern hairloss, make my hair shinier, softer, and easier to manage, do tell! :)

I'm one of those persons who don't particularly like it when asked to introduce themselves - as in introducing yourself in front of a large group of people - though I think this may be because of the 'tell me about yourself' part. I mean, I could tell a lot of things about myself, but are those what the audience really wants to hear? More often than not, your hobbies seem to be a safe topic to talk about. As I'm not really a sporty type of person, I frequently find myself at a loss when being asked to talk about my hobbies. :) As for other talents? I can't really think of one. Haha. Yeah, I did try to cultivate my artistic capabilities when I was younger (I even took piano lessons before), but then found out that I didn't have the passion for it. So when I'm asked about my hobbies, I say the same (kinda) boring things again and again, namely:
- reading books - I guess from most of the topics of my blog entries, you already know that.
- watching TV series/shows
- doing anything and everything in the internet
You can start in on the 'You're the most boring person I know!' insults now. Haha.

I must say, historical romances are quickly rising in my list of favorite fiction genres of all time. They may not be as laugh-out-loud funny as the contemporaries but they make up for it with their dreamy, dreamy heroes and super romantic lines and scenes. Though, of course, I'm sure you'll only enjoy it if you like reading romance books (or watching romantic movies).
I find historical romances very interesting - how the people care for the 'titles', the way the women were able to make themselves look slimmer (they didn't have diet supplements and apidexin reviews back then) by using corsets, and how balls seem to happen almost every week! And at the balls, you have girls, er, ladies, trying their best to look as pretty as they can get so the men to ask them for a dance. Call me shallow if you want, but I find all those incredibly cute and romantic!

And here's the proof:
Yeah, I'm a first time voter so excuse me if I sound so eager and excited. :) Anyway, I just hope that the right and worthy candidate wins, whoever he/she is - if he/she is the one I picked, then so much the better. If you plan to exercise your right to vote (I hope you do), then I suggest you do it now. The queue is - gah - unbelievable (for our precinct, at least). It's a good thing we went there early. And let me just say that sometimes (or most of the time), it's not the PCOS machines that are at fault but the ones who handle them. (not trying to pick a fight here. Haha.)

With the unpredictable state of the economy today, it's definitely wise to venture into something wherein you know you'll be sure to generate extra income from. Yes, if you really want to make more money, being a regular employee wouldn't be enough (not that I'm saying being an employee's lacking or whatever, just that earning extra money wouldn't hurt.
Investing in gold coins, particularly in the British gold sovereign is probably one of the most profitable ones out there. Gold has constantly been a coveted luxury item, and due to its marketability, gold price today has consistently increased for the past years. Hence, more and more are starting to turn to gold investments as the return of income here is certain. I know I would invest in it if ever I had the money! :)

This entry is to further convince myself that I can still manage to blog even when I'm so busy these days. I'm thinking I'd have to lessen my time spent on reading fiction books and pointlessly surfing the internet - I need to be productive! Talk about maturity. (Yay! Haha.) And since I promised myself that I will improve on my skills in prioritizing, the new episodes of Gossip Girl and Chuck would have to wait. Hey, maybe I can watch them tomorrow if things won't get too hectic. Till my next post! I hope I've adjusted to these changes by then. :)

Remember my Starbucks planner that I love so much? Well, it comes with freebies! :) I think there are maybe four to five coupons at the back of the planner, but the one I'm really excited about is the buy-a-drink-and-get-another-free-drink one. And this promo starts or rather, started on the 1st of May and will still be valid until the end of the month. So if you still have that coupon with you, better use it up this month!
And oh, I'll be very, very busy this coming days so I'm spending more time looking up some good beauty products, reading acnepril reviews - must prevent breakouts! So if you have any recommendations on what toner/cleanser or moisturize I should use (i.e. what works for you), be sure to drop a comment here, ok? :)

SPOTTED will be a feature on this blog where I'll be blogging about blogs that I've thoroughly enjoyed visiting and will probably regularly visit. :) So for the first ever blog, we have
I haven't been visiting this blog long but whenever I do, I always have a good laugh going over their book reviews. If you're a big romance fan who wants their stories filled with proposals with their customary diamond engagement rings and happily ever afters, this is a good site to visit. The moderators here really do know their romance. They've even managed to classify the major plots a typical romance novel might fall into. Whether you're looking for a light historical or funny contemporary book reviews, you'll be sure to find it here. Wanna find your next romance read? Hop on over there and tell them I said Hi! :)
